Dwayne is a civil engineer and senior inspector with more than 11 years of experience in transportation, building, and wastewater projects across the New York City region. He has worked in both office and field roles, giving him a practical understanding of how drawings, specifications, and schedules translate into day-to-day construction. Dwayne’s experience spans civil construction, crane and rigging planning, structural support design, and construction inspection for complex, multi-stakeholder sites.
At ELECSYS, Dwayne serves as a senior civil inspector for wastewater resource recovery facility standby generator and site-improvement projects, where he coordinates with contractors and stakeholders, reviews submittals and contract requirements, inspects work for compliance, tracks materials, documents nonconforming work, and supports field testing, punch lists, and safety oversight. His prior work includes civil and crane-engineering support for projects at major wastewater treatment plants, waterfront parks, civic and educational buildings, airport cargo facilities, and multiple Metropolitan Transportation Authority Construction & Development facilities and infrastructure upgrades.
Dwayne holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in Construction Management from New York University. He is an Engineer in Training and has completed the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health training, American Concrete Institute Concrete Field Testing Technician certification, and New York City Department of Buildings Site Safety Training. He is experienced in applying New York City Department of Buildings, New York City Department of Transportation, and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey requirements to crane setup, soil bearing checks, and structural support design.
Outside of work, Dwayne enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and playing soccer.
