Michael is a senior electrical engineer and project manager with more than 35 years of experience leading electrical and systems design for transportation, healthcare, higher education, government, and cultural projects. His portfolio includes subway and commuter rail stations, hospitals and ambulatory facilities, university campuses, correctional facilities, and museums across New York City and the broader region. Michael manages the design of normal and emergency power distribution, UPS systems, lighting, fire alarm and life-safety systems, security and communications, and energy-efficiency upgrades.
He has guided projects from early planning and code analysis through construction and commissioning, coordinating large multidisciplinary teams and working closely with agencies, utilities, and facility operators. His work includes major programs for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, New York City Department of Design and Construction, New York City School Construction Authority, regional healthcare systems, federal agencies, and prominent cultural institutions.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Hofstra University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and a LEED Accredited Professional. He has served on multiple New York City electrical and fire alarm code committees and contributed to updates to the New York City Building Code and energy-storage standards, reflecting his deep engagement with evolving codes and best practices.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, boating, and exploring the outdoors.
