“Working for contractors for more than 20 years has given me the ability to see designs manifest first-hand, and I’m excited to bring that perspective to developing new designs at ELECSYS.”

Aram is an electrical engineer and quality manager with 20 years of experience delivering engineering and quality management services on major transportation, water, and infrastructure projects in the New York City region. He has worked on design-bid-build and design-build programs for agencies including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Construction & Development, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and the New York State Department of Transportation, as well as large financial institutions.

At ELECSYS, Aram draws on his background in traction power, substation design, and water treatment facilities to provide both technical and quality leadership. His experience includes preparing and reviewing shop drawings, control schematics, and programmable logic controller drawings; developing and implementing Quality Management Plans and Code Compliance Plans; and leading inspection and test planning, material receiving, and special inspections. He is adept at preparing and resolving nonconformance reports, coordinating with third-party special inspectors, and supporting permitting and plan review processes under the New York State Building Code and New York City Construction Codes.

Aram holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York and holds multiple certifications from the American Society for Quality, including Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, and Certified Construction Quality Manager. He is a contributor to the first edition of the ASQ Certified Construction Quality Manager Handbook and is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Traction Power Systems Standards Committee and Power and Energy Society. Aram has completed OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health training, New York City Transit Track Safety training, and Long Island Rail Road roadway worker training.

Outside of work, Aram enjoys volunteering in cat rescue, traveling, attending sporting events at his alma mater, playing chess, and doing crossword puzzles.
