“I chose to work at ELECSYS because the projects we do serve to better our community. I take great pride in being part of the team that improves our roads, rails, and more. The knowledge that my designs help both improve efficiency of of public works and help improve the safety of the public makes me feel that I am in the right place to do good. ”

Charlie is an industrial and information and communications technology designer with 5 years of experience in structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure for commercial and institutional facilities. He combines project management skills with hands-on AutoCAD drafting and field coordination to deliver efficient, standards-compliant ICT system designs. He has designing fit-outs and high-speed office environments, and now works primarily on transportation communication infrastructure. He also has experience working on flood monitoring systems as part of the ongoing efforts to harden New York City’s waterfronts against increasing environmental pressure. In addition to these designs, he has experience reviewing submittals, coordinating with contractors and client representatives, and inspecting installations for quality and design conformance.

Charlie holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Scranton. He is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) through BICSI and has completed OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health training, New York City Department of Buildings Site Safety Training, Metropolitan Transportation Authority Track Safety Training, and multiple manufacturer design certifications, including CommScope, Legrand, and Panduit programs.

Outside of work, Charlie enjoys reading, especially science fiction, and would like to one day work on a book of his own. He also enjoys drawing, and has recently begun learning—a slow process, as his cat also enjoys wrestling with his pens.
