Paroma is a civil engineer and construction manager with more than 13 years of experience leading and supporting complex building, transit, and tunnel projects. Her work spans major rail and tunnel programs, educational facilities, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection upgrades, often in dense urban environments with demanding schedules and stakeholder coordination needs.
She has served as tunneling construction manager and deputy construction manager on large transportation programs, overseeing progress across multiple contract packages, reviewing schedules, monitoring risk, and helping owners meet funding and reporting requirements. Her background also includes project engineer and assistant project manager roles for facility engineering upgrades, where she has coordinated submittals, change management, inspections, and monthly reporting for public- and private-sector clients.
Paroma holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a Semester at Sea program through the University of Virginia. She is a certified Project Management Professional and an Engineer in Training, and has completed OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health training. She is proficient in Procore, Microsoft Project, and Autodesk Building Information Modeling (BIM) 360.
Beyond project work, Paroma is actively involved in youth and professional development organizations, including architecture, construction, and engineering mentorship programs, and has held leadership roles with Engineers Without Borders.
Outside of work, Paroma enjoys exploring what New York City has to offer and going to the movies.
