Electrical Engineer

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

Mahatma Gandhi

Thandar is an electrical engineer with over 10 years of experience delivering design, shop drawing production, and construction phase engineering for transportation and water infrastructure, including bridges, tunnels, rail facilities, and wastewater treatment plants. She is especially strong in translating design intent into detailed, 3D installation drawings that support prefabrication, clash-free coordination, and efficient construction in constrained environments.

Her work includes electrical distribution and substation layouts, motor-control and motor-control-center design, variable-frequency drives, SCADA integration, and power and control wiring for highway and rail structures, pump stations, and treatment facilities. Thandar routinely produces 3D CAD models and shop drawings for contractors and design–build teams, coordinates with multidisciplinary engineering groups, and develops staging and temporary-power strategies to keep 24/7 critical facilities in operation during upgrades.

Thandar holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from the Rangoon Institute of Technology. She has completed OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health training and works extensively in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, OpenBuildings Designer, Navisworks, and other 3D modeling platforms.

Outside of work, Thandar enjoys spending time in nature; her favorite hobby is walking in the park and appreciating what the natural world has to offer.
