CAD/BIM Designer

“As an artist, I pride myself in being detail-oriented, thorough, and invested into my work. In collaboration with our diligent engineering teams, I fuse two uniquely distinct worlds, construction and art, together to deliver my contributions to our city.”

Alison is an electrical CAD/BIM designer with over 3 years of experience producing coordinated models and construction documents for transportation and public-sector projects. She specializes in 3D modeling and clash detection for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, using tools such as AutoCAD MEP, MicroStation, Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM platforms. Alison develops detailed models of elevator shafts, machine rooms, and utility corridors; extracts plans, sections, and details for shop and as-built drawings; and helps resolve coordination issues between structural, architectural, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines. Her experience includes design-build accessibility upgrades for New York City Transit stations, resiliency work along the Battery Park City waterfront, and emergency alarm and communications upgrades throughout the transit system. Alison routinely updates models from contractor submittals, generates and tracks RFIs, and participates in internal and external coordination meetings to close clashes and support constructability in the field.

Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Queens College, City University of New York, and is currently pursuing an Associate of Science in Business Administration – Facilities Management at LaGuardia Community College. She has completed the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health training.
