“When you are good to others, you are best to yourself.”

Benjamin Franklin

Bob is a senior communications engineer with more than 45 years of experience in the design and installation of telecommunications and electrical power systems. His work spans voice and data communications, public address and intercom systems, fiber-optic networks, access control and intrusion detection, intelligent transportation systems, SCADA, fire detection and alarm systems, and primary and secondary electrical power distribution. He has supported agencies, transportation authorities, and public works owners across North America, including the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, New York City Transit, NJ TRANSIT, Long Island Rail Road, Amtrak, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, the California Department of Transportation, the Chicago Department of Aviation, and the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.

As a technical lead, Bob has managed and peer-reviewed communications and power designs for rail and bus systems, airports, tunnels, fare collection systems, and highway and bridge programs. He is deeply involved in both design and construction-phase services, including preparing and reviewing drawings and specifications, supporting submittal and testing reviews, and helping ensure that installed systems meet performance, safety, and code requirements.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications from Capitol Technology University in Maryland. He is a licensed Telecommunications Systems Contractor in Rhode Island, a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), and an Outside Plant (OSP) Designer through BICSI. He is also an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and BICSI, where he serves as the Technical Information and Methods Committee chair and is a member of several standards workgroups.

Outside of work, Bob enjoys spending time with his four cats, volunteering with BICSI and IEEE, and traveling to visit friends and relatives.
